Diving in Cancun

Cancun, the world's second largest barrier reef, is a premier diving destination. Reef diving is particularly thrilling because there are numerous coral islands, and a reef barrier along about 540 miles of the coastline. You'll find that reef diving is more enjoyable at the southern beaches, and on the offshore islands in Cancun, where the highest point above sea level is at 200 feet. The Farito, Manchones and Chitales reefs are ideal for novice divers. Many of the all-inclusive resorts provide beginner diving lessons, and offer dive vacation packages which tend to include equipment use.
